The Arecibo Telescope (The Observatory) had the largest dish in the world. This gigantic satellite dish was pending from three high towers. These towers were strategically settled on top of the mountains surrounding the telescope. It was located in the mountains of a countryside community in the city of Arecibo, Puerto Rico. For many years was the point of encounter for astronomers, scientists and students from different universities of the United States and other parts of the world. It was seriously damaged during Hurricane Maria; and eventually collapsed. It is still in use to a certain degree. Nevertheless, the loss of a valuable and significant site like this is a deprivation and disadvantage for future discoveries of the astral space.
